DTRT Reds Campaign

In 1989, Spike Lee released Do the Right Thing, an honest and authentic story about rising tensions in a quickly changing neighborhood, Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. Spike showed us the realities and results of our voices, ignored and dismissed.

In 2017, BKB4 Barclays was launched as a symbol of the old Brooklyn. We represent the voices who have been brushed off and disregarded, the ones who still fight for our homes, our communities, and our neighborhoods. When no one else wanted to be here, we stayed here. We built the culture that others now commodify and sell to build their own profits.

In this campaign, we pay homage to Spike’s cinematic classic. Over 30 years, the block has changed, but the story remains the same. We are the Brooklyn before Barclays, born and fed by these BK streets. Our brand gives us the luxury, the boldness, and style that can only be found in the best borough in the world.
